Dr. Tamer Al-Ghazawi, Director of the Indonesia Office of Resalat Al-Salam Foundation, met His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik, son of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, .Sultan of Brunei Darussalam
The meeting was attended by the Director of External Relations at the Royal Court, during which they discussed the Foundation’s international activities and its efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and intellectual cooperation.
During the meeting, the Director of External Relations at the Royal Court spoke positively of the visit made by a delegation of Resalat Al-Salam Foundation to the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Cairo in June 2026, where they met H.E. Ambassador Pungiran Salmin Dawud.
He noted that the visit represented the first initiative of its kind by representatives of an Egyptian civil society organisation to the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Cairo, describing it as a positive step towards strengthening cultural and intellectual relations between the two sides.
It is worth noting that His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah also serves as the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the international conference “Empowering Community Participation for Sustainable Development of the Ummah,” hosted by Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) in Brunei Darussalam, with the participation of senior government officials, university leaders, academics, and Islamic scholars from across Southeast Asia.
Representing Resalat Al-Salam Foundation, Dr. Tamer Al-Ghazawi presented a research paper entitled “Family Security in the Thought of Mr. Ali Muhammad Al-Shurafa Al-Hammadi,” based on the Founder’s book Divorce Threatens the Security of Society. The paper highlighted the importance of preserving family cohesion as a cornerstone of social stability and sustainable development.
During the conference, Dr. Al-Ghazawi also delivered the Founder’s address, “The Divine Covenant for Protecting the Family from Disintegration and Collapse,” originally published as the introduction to the same book. The address presented the Qur’anic framework for building stable families founded upon tranquillity, affection, and mercy, while emphasising the role of the family in safeguarding society.
The presentation received positive interest from participants, reflecting appreciation for the Foundation’s intellectual approach to strengthening family values and promoting sustainable social development.
